Shoreline’s Collegiate DECA team returned from the 2017 Pacific Northwest Career Development Conference held Feb. 23-25 in Bellevue, WA with a number of wins.
Of the 24 students representing Shoreline at this year’s conference, 13 students placed third or better. Twenty Shoreline participants qualified for the 2017 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) to be held in Anaheim, CA April 19-22. ICDC brings together nearly 1,000 Collegiate DECA members from colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, and China to compete at the international level.
DECA has been active at Shoreline Community College since 1966. In the past couple years, the number of members has steadily grown and reached 44 this year. Most awards earned at the regional conference were earned by first-year DECA members!
