American Honda Motor Co., Inc. named the Shoreline Community College Honda PACT Program as the co-winner of the Top PACT School award for 2019. This is the inaugural year for American Honda to recognize colleges based on their individual merits. Shoreline shares this year’s honor with co-winner Eastfield College in Dallas, TX.
The Instructors from Shoreline’s Honda PACT Program were presented with a plaque noting the award during this year’s annual Honda PACT Instructor Conference.
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition from American Honda,” said Bob Biesiedzinski, Honda PACT coordinator and instructor at Shoreline. “We strive to provide our students with the best possible education so that when they leave they are beyond prepared to be successful in the workforce.”
Currently, 31 colleges across the country operate the Honda PACT Program. Shoreline operates one of the original Honda PACT Schools, having started the program in 1989. Since its inception, Shoreline’s Honda PACT program has worked with Honda and Acura new car dealerships throughout the state to provide trained Certified Technicians to their service departments.
The Honda PACT Program is a comprehensive AAS Degree program offered by Shoreline Community College in partnership with American Honda Motor Co., Inc. The training program provides students with the fundamental skills to succeed in the workplace along with valuable hands-on experience. Students spend alternating time in class and working in sponsoring Honda or Acura dealerships throughout the length of the program.
