Please join us on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Main Dining Room of Building 9000 (PUB) for a thought-provoking evening with Tim Wise, one of the nation’s foremost anti-racist educators, as he discusses the current state of anti-racist education in the U.S. He will be delivering a talk entitled “The Attack on Critical Racy Theory and Anti-Racist Education.”

Named one of “25 Visionaries Who are Changing Your World,” Wise is the author of nine books, including his latest, Dispatches from the Race War. His writing has also appeared in Salon, Huffington Post, The Root, Black Commentator, and many other popular publications and scholarly journals.
Wise has been featured in several documentaries, including “Vocabulary of Change,” in which he appears alongside legendary scholar and activist Angela Davis to discuss the connections between issues of race, class, gender, sexuality and militarism, as well as inter-generational movement building and the prospects for social change. He also appears regularly on CNN and MSNBC.
